2. What does an average day at LMC look like?
A normal day at LMC is focused on music studies until 4pm. After breakfast, students attend Music Theory and Rhythm class, chamber music rehearsals, private lessons, and sectionals.
After lunch is orchestra rehearsal, and masterclasses for pianists. Then, students have an hour set aside to use for lessons or practice.
From 4pm to 6pm, students break for recreation time. During this time students may spend time lounging or swimming on LMC's private beachfront, working on art projects like tie-dye shirts, playing a heated game of basketball or soccer, or simply hanging out with friends. Different organized recreation activities occur everyday, so there is always a variety of ways to spend the afternoon.
After dinner, students head toward evening activities. Depending on the night, this may be a movie on the Shed Stage, an intense match of Capture the Flag, an evening at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, or an ice cream social. On Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, student are either attending or performing in concerts on campus.
Mondays are full days away from music and dedicated to recreation. Students take day-trips that include fun activities unique to the region, including white water rafting, hiking, mini golfing, a steamboat tour, and Six Flags Great Escape!

A small number of merit scholarships will be awarded to the most exceptional candidates. LMC strives to make its programs accessible to all students regardless of their financial circumstance; therefore, most of our scholarships are awarded on a need-basis.
